1. Who we are
SAI is operated by Universal Network Development LLC, doing business as U.N.D Industries ("UND," "we," "us," "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States. We decide how the information described here is used. This policy covers SAI's website, web app, voice features and memberships. Our Terms of Service also apply.
2. What we collect
| Kind | What it is | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account and sign-in | If you sign in with Google or Apple: the account ID they give us, and your name and email if you allow it. If you sign in with email: your email address. Which membership your account has, which purchase it came from, and a dated record of every time you agreed to our Terms of Service and this policy (each sign-in and sign-up), of the purchase confirmation you ticked before paying, and of your optional choices. | You, Google or Apple |
| Profile | The name SAI greets you by, your username, what you told us you want help with (optional), and your optional choices (news emails, early feature invitations, being contacted about feedback), which are off unless you turn them on. You can change all of it in Settings. | You |
| Conversations | What you type or say to SAI and what SAI replies. During early access these may be saved and reviewed (see Section 3). | You |
| Voice | If you use voice: the audio of what you say is sent to be turned into text, and SAI's reply text is turned into speech. We do not keep the audio. | You |
| Membership and payment | Your email, the plan you chose, the amount, dates, and the payment status. The name and billing address you give Stripe are kept by Stripe. We never receive your full card number. | You and Stripe |
| Usage and safety | How much you used in your current 5-hour session and 7-day week (messages, voice replies and recordings turned into text, and their estimated cost), your share of SAI's capacity today, and a record when a message is blocked by our safety checks (the category). | Created as you use SAI |
| Technical | Your IP address and the requests your browser makes, which Cloudflare handles to deliver and protect SAI. For sign-in protection we keep only a scrambled version of your IP address, for at most one day. | Your device |
| Messages to us | Anything you send to our support or other email addresses. | You |
Please do not put passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers, health details or other sensitive information into SAI.
3. How we use it
- To run SAI: sign you in, activate your membership, answer your messages, speak and hear in voice mode, keep your usage limits, and keep long conversations going by compressing their older part into short notes.
- To keep SAI safe: check messages and replies automatically for harmful content, prevent abuse and fraud, protect sign-in, and enforce our Terms.
- To make SAI better (early access): our team may read saved conversations and use them to find mistakes, improve answers, and evaluate and train SAI's own models. We do not let other companies train their models on your conversations.
- To handle memberships: take payment through Stripe, add the membership to your account, email you receipts, and answer billing questions.
- To talk with you: send messages you need about your account, membership, safety, and changes to our terms or this policy. We will not send you marketing emails unless you choose to receive them.
- To follow the law: meet legal, tax and accounting duties, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights and the safety of others.
We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
4. Who helps us run SAI
We share information only with companies that help us run SAI, only as needed for what they do for us, and under their own privacy terms:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, and the AI models that power SAI's replies, safety checks, hearing and voice. Your messages and audio are processed on Cloudflare's network to produce replies; some voice models are provided to Cloudflare by its partners.
- Stripe: payments. Stripe collects and keeps your payment details.
- Resend: sends our emails, such as sign-in codes and receipts.
- Google and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them. Google also serves the fonts our pages use, so your browser asks Google for those files.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business (the new owner would have to respect this policy). We will update this policy before we add a new kind of service that receives your personal information.
5. On your device (cookies and storage)
SAI stores a few things in your browser so it works, and nothing for advertising or cross-site tracking:
- your sign-in token, so you stay signed in;
- your settings: theme, chosen voice and microphone, whether SAI speaks replies aloud, and the mode and model you picked in the message box;
- your answer to our cookie notice;
- SAI's short notes or recap from your last conversation, for up to 30 days, so you can pick up where you left off. "New chat", "Start fresh" or signing out removes them;
- for a moment, the first message you typed before signing in and the hand-off from Google or Apple sign-in.
Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect SAI from attacks. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Signing out, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes what SAI stored there.
6. Do Not Track and tracking by others
SAI does not track you across other websites, so it treats every visitor the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not allow advertising networks or other third parties to collect information about your activity on SAI over time and across websites. Google receives the standard technical details of your browser's requests when it loads our fonts or its sign-in button, and Apple does the same for its sign-in button.
7. How long we keep it
- Saved conversations: up to 12 months, then deleted or changed so they no longer identify you.
- Account and membership: while your account is active, then for as long as tax, accounting and legal duties require.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. Stripe keeps its own records under its policy.
- Usage counts: for each session (5 hours) and each week (7 days), deleted within about a day after that period ends; today's counts for everyone together, deleted after each day (UTC).
- Sign-in protection records: deleted after each day (UTC).
- Safety records of blocked messages: up to 12 months, to find repeated abuse.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.
8. Security and breaches
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), signed sign-in sessions, scrambled IP addresses, strict security settings on every page, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that your information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you without unreasonable delay and within the time the law requires (for Florida residents, no later than 30 days).
9. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your information: email support@universalnetworkdevelopment.com with the subject "Data request" from the email on your account (or tell us how you sign in). We may need to confirm it is you, and we will respond within the time the law where you live requires.
- Delete your saved conversations: ask us at the same address.
- Stop using SAI at any time, and turn off renewal or cancel a membership online in SAI under Settings > Plan and billing (or by emailing billing@universalnetworkdevelopment.com).
- Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have more rights, such as knowing what we collect and not being treated differently for using your rights. We honor them as the law requires. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of there.
Some information we must keep for legal, tax, safety or fraud-prevention reasons, even if you ask us to delete it.
10. Safety and the law
Every message and reply is checked automatically by safety models. When someone tells SAI they are thinking about hurting themselves, SAI points them to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. A message that appears to involve the sexual exploitation of a child is refused, the account is paused at once, and our team is alerted. We respond to valid legal requests from authorities.
11. Children
SAI is only for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used SAI, tell us at support@universalnetworkdevelopment.com and we will delete their information.
12. Where your data is processed
We are in the United States. The companies that help us run SAI may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws from yours. By using SAI you understand your information will be processed there.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date, and for important changes, including any new use of your conversations, we will tell you in SAI or by email before the change applies to information we already have.
